As the son of a businessman, Mohamud Jama learned the value of hard work and community participation at an early age. After nearly nine years as a refugee in Kenya, Mohamud immigrated to the United States. Today, as a small business owner, Mohamud Jama remains dedicated to working to improve the lives of New Americans in Central Ohio. He is dedicated to advocacy in supporting education and healthcare programs for all and serving as a connecting bridge for opportunity for New Americans.
Mohamud holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University as well as an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Columbus State Community College.
Mohamud has been married to his wife Bisharo for eighteen years. Together they have nine children.
